I, too, am tempted by the marvels of yummy looking dishes on the web. Different concepts or enjoyable mixes get stuck in my brain. Usually, in the kind of dishes that make me wish to attempt something brand-new. One of the more current? This caramelized cabbage. Most most likely since I like roasted and grilled cabbage, so actually, what’s not to like about the concept of caramelization?

And so, I attempted it, however I can’t leave well sufficient alone. Because presently, almost every meal includes beans. This baked-cabbage and white beans is my performance on the caramelized cabbage, produced a significant lunch (thanks beans!) Also, this is wonderful remaining, served on remaining grains.

BakedCabbage and White Beans

1/2(********* )big head savoy cabbage

4 tablespoon s olive oil, divided

1/2(********* )big yellow onion, minced

1/2 teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste

2 big garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon sherry vinegar

2 tablespoon s tomato paste

2 teaspoon s smoked paprika

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 cup crushed tomatoes

3/4 cup water

1 cup white beans, drained pipes


1 cup loosely loaded parsley

Zest from one lemon

Feta, for topping


  • Preheat oven to 350 ˚F. Cut the cabbage in half and cut each half into thirds (see note). Heat a big, oven-safe frying pan over medium-high heat. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil and put the cabbage in the hot frying pan and burn each side of the cabbage. Transfer to a plate.
  • Add the staying tablespoon of olive oil followed by the minced onions and salt. Cook till the onions hurt, about 8 to 10 minutes approximately. If your onions are beginning to brown, minimize the heat. Once the onions hurt, include the garlic and cook for another minute or more.
  • Next, stir in the sherry and scrape any bits adhered to the bottom of the pan. Add the tomato paste, smoked paprika, cumin, and cook for a minute or more. Add in the crushed tomatoes, water, and beans. Stir and heat for a minute.
  • Nestle the prepared cabbage in the tomato mix and put the frying pan in the preheated oven. Cook the cabbage for about 35 to 45 minutes till the tomato mix has actually thickened, and the cabbage hurts.
  • Mince the parsley and zest together till well integrated. Sprinkle on top and spray with feta prior to serving.



The initial dish requires just cutting the cabbage into quarters. I didn’t like the density of the cabbage however it’s actually approximately you.

Also, I topped the image with black sesame seeds since I believed it would be an excellent addition. It didn’t include much so I left it out of the dish.
