Freezer-Friendly Greens & Tofu Scramble Wraps
It’s constantly my objective to produce dishes that aren’t simply yummy, however that are manageable. For me, part of “doable” is components that are easily offered. This isn’t almost you, it’s likewise about me– I reside in a small town and I do not wish to be schlepping all over the location for components either. But I was dealing with a tofu scramble for a while and it simply wasn’t coming together and I lastly needed to acknowledge the truth that I required to go to Raleigh to get some dietary yeast.

Nutritional yeast is a flaky little deactivated yeast that tastes like cheese. So it’s excellent for vegan cooking. It’s an excellent source of vitamins (some brand names, like Bob’s Red Mill, are strengthened with Vitamin B12) and even includes some protein. If, like me, you can’t discover it at your regional supermarket, you can purchase dietary yeast on Amazon.

Nutritional Yeast
But given that I required the dietary yeast immediately, I didn’t buy it online and went to Earth Fare, 40 minutes away, to get it. I got house and given that I was going to utilize it the next day, I chose to leave it on the counter top, as I often do. And then Chris got up the next early morning to discover the bag of dietary yeast on the stairs.

One of the felines took my dietary yeast.

Oh, however he (and I state he due to the fact that I understand it was Miso) didn’t simply take it. No! He took it, brought it over to the stairs, tore the bag open, and after that peed on it

He peed on my dietary yeast! THE HORROR!

Greens & Tofu Scramble Wraps
So the tofu scramble wraps needed to be postponed for another week. But this time when I got my dietary yeast, I concealed it well. And it deserved all the inconvenience and pee due to the fact that the dietary yeast was certainly what was missing out on from this recipe. Now if you do not wish to purchase dietary yeast, you can constantly omit it and include cheese (vegan or otherwise) to these wraps rather.

And if you do purchase dietary yeast, ensure you conceal it from your felines. Lesson discovered.
